A partir de <strong>Le Palais des vents<\/strong>Le centre historique n'est qu'\u00e0 quelques minutes.<\/p>\n<h2>Une ville \u00e0 l'histoire trois fois mill\u00e9naire<\/h2>\n<p>Tarifa a \u00e9t\u00e9 ph\u00e9nicienne, romaine, wisigothe, arabe et chr\u00e9tienne. Chaque culture a laiss\u00e9 son empreinte sur les pierres de la ville. Le nom de Tarifa lui-m\u00eame vient du guerrier berb\u00e8re Tariq ibn Ziyad, qui a commenc\u00e9 la conqu\u00eate musulmane de la p\u00e9ninsule \u00e0 partir d'ici en 711.<\/p>\n<h2>Les lieux \u00e0 ne pas manquer<\/h2>\n<h3>Le ch\u00e2teau de Guzm\u00e1n el Bueno<\/h3>\n<p>Forteresse arabe du Xe si\u00e8cle, renforc\u00e9e \u00e0 l'\u00e9poque chr\u00e9tienne. Elle est le th\u00e9\u00e2tre de la l\u00e9gende de Guzm\u00e1n el Bueno, qui pr\u00e9f\u00e9ra sacrifier son fils plut\u00f4t que de livrer la ville \u00e0 l'ennemi. Les vues depuis les murailles sont extraordinaires.<\/p>\n<h3>\u00c9glise St Matthew<\/h3>\n<p>Construite sur le site d'une ancienne mosqu\u00e9e maure, cette \u00e9glise est un parfait exemple de la superposition des cultures qui caract\u00e9rise Tarifa. Son int\u00e9rieur abrite des \u0153uvres d'art du XVIe si\u00e8cle.<\/p>\n<h3>La porte de Jerez<\/h3>\n<p>La seule porte m\u00e9di\u00e9vale encore debout. Chaque fois que vous la franchirez, vous foulerez les m\u00eames pav\u00e9s que les guerriers, les marchands et les voyageurs d'autres si\u00e8cles.<\/p>\n<h3>Place San Mateo<\/h3>\n<p>Le c\u0153ur de la vieille ville. Un bon endroit pour s'asseoir sur une terrasse, prendre un caf\u00e9 et observer les all\u00e9es et venues de la vie \u00e0 Tarifa.<\/p>\n<h2>Le quartier juif<\/h2>\n<p>Pr\u00e8s des remparts se trouve le vieux quartier juif, avec ses rues \u00e9troites et ses maisons blanchies \u00e0 la chaux et orn\u00e9es de pots de fleurs.
