From fresh fish just out of the strait to the Arab influence in sweets and spices, Tarifa's cuisine is a fusion of cultures that speaks of its history.<\/p>\n<h2>Almadraba bluefin tuna: the king of the table<\/h2>\n<p>From May to July, Tarifa lives the almadraba season, the traditional bluefin tuna fishing technique that has been practiced in these coasts for more than three thousand years. The fresh almadraba tuna is considered one of the best in the world, comparable to the Japanese prized toro. Do not leave without trying a tuna belly, tartar or tataki in one of the specialized restaurants in the area.<\/p>\n<h2>Essential dishes<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Shrimp omelettes<\/strong>crispy and delicious, they are the perfect appetizer.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pesca\u00edto frito<\/strong>Freshly fried anchovies, anchovies and baby squid, served in paper.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Noodle casserole with seafood<\/strong>A spoon dish that you won't see anywhere else like it.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Moroccan Tagine<\/strong>The African influence, only 14 km away, can be felt in the aromas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Where to eat in Tarifa<\/h2>\n<p>The municipal market, the tascas of the old town and the beach bars are the best settings for an authentic meal.
