Caños de Meca

Several schools offer classes for beginners with material included. Beginners courses last between 2 and 5 days and do not require previous experience. The Atlantic water is cool even in summer, so 3/2 mm neoprene is common all year round.
Winter surfing: the secret season
The months from November to March bring the most powerful swells from the North Atlantic, with waves of 1.5 to 3 meters that delight the most experienced surfers. In winter the beaches are free and the atmosphere is pure surfing, without mass tourism.
